Hello fellow SOBA (Noodle) Lovers!!
Soba is not yet famous like “Ramen”, but Soba is very reasonable and fast & easy to eat.
Stand-in Soba is a Japanese culture which has long history since the Edo era (1603-1867).
Since everyone will be watching Tokyo in year 2020, so I have selected many Soba-Ya which are great places to eat and enjoy the history of Japanese Soba.Don’t be shy to make noise/sound by slurping soba (Noodles)!

後楽そばのやきそば（並）

かつては有楽町駅ガード下で長らく営業していた。普通にうまい立ち食い蕎麦屋なのですが、じつはこの店の名作は、蕎麦といってもソース焼きそば。路麺ファンなら知らない人はいないはず。わたしも実はここでは焼きそばを食べることが圧倒的に多いのだ。

Used to be at under the Yurakucho station. Good stand-in soba place, but their specialty is the fried noodles. If you are rail-way noodle fan, you know about this place. Matter of fact, I eat their fried noodles more often than soba when I’m there.

後楽そばのやきそば（並）

思い出すとどうしても食いたくなる味。短くて柔らかい蕎麦、ソースがよくしみた縁日の風味。よいことがあると焼きそば。何もなくても焼きそば。焼きそばは心の友。

When you have the image of the fried noodle in your head, you’ll crave the taste. Short and soft noodle with the taste of sauce which reminds you of the good old festivals.
Something good happens, have a fried noodle.
Nothing happens, have a fried noodle.
Fried noodle is your best friend.

具がほとんどなくてもオッケー。セルフ取り放題のネギを焼きそばに適量のせていただくと辛みが程よくソースに馴染み、抜群の相性です。

Not much ingredient other than noodle, but it’s all ok. There are free self-serve green onions, so little of spicy taste makes great harmony with the sauce.

有楽町から五反田に移転してはや１年、すっかり街に馴染んだ感がある。

It is been a year since moved from Gotanda to Yurakucho, it’s already become part of the town.

後楽そばの外観

店舗は広く明るくなり、カウンター下の荷物入れも広くて使いやすい。以前はほんとに狭かった。壁際に並んで順番を待ったものだ。

Place became brighter, and the open space where you can put your baggage is big and easy to use. Old place was very small, so when you were waiting for a spot, you had to squeeze yourself along the wall.

激辛ソース、気になりますね。

There is a sauce saying, “extremely spicy”, making me little curious.
