Introducing a whole new kind of footwear that fuses traditional Japanese setta design with sneaker chic: the unda. The name literally means “cloud shoes” (while setta means “snow shoes”), and the appellation is well deserved—with PU midsoles and air soles topped with a material containing high-quality urethane foam borrowed from the architectural materials toolkit, wearing these is like walking on a cloud. This aloha shirt is a bold take on Katsushika Hokusai’s “The Great Wave off Kanagawa,” in which the ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai turned the contrast between a serene Mt. Fuji and a wild cresting wave into one of the finest works of Japanese art. Indigo pigment, similar to that used by Hokusai himself, is used for the wave in a tribute to his original aesthetic vision.
